Introduction

Conference Background:

The level of scientific and technological development of medical devices in China lags behind that of developed countries, and the high-end market is almost monopolized by foreign products. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the innovative development of the medical device industry and has introduced a number of policies to encourage domestic medical devices to accelerate innovation. In 2021, the National Medical Products Administration issued the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Medical Equipment Industry”. On December 4, 2023, the National Medical Products Administration released the new version of the “Quality Management Specifications for the Operation of Medical Devices”, which was officially implemented on July 1, 2024. This further encourages enterprises to develop digitally and intelligently, enhances the efficiency and quality safety of the medical device supply chain, and promotes the high-quality development of the industry.

Suzhou has introduced a number of policies to support the development of the high-end medical device industry, continuously improved the high-end medical device industrial chain, and built highlands for the agglomeration of the high-end medical device industry, namely Suzhou Industrial Park and High-tech Zone.

This conference focuses on popular innovative tracks and initiates discussions from multiple perspectives such as policies, innovative technologies, and market access. It invites representatives from the government, high-end medical device enterprises, university research institutes, and registration consulting companies to elaborate on the development dilemmas, successful experiences, and future trends of innovative medical devices in multiple dimensions.
